The Nigerian Educator, being a multi-disciplinary Journal, is committed to publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed research that advances knowledge in the fields of Education, Humanities, Natural and Social Sciences. Our editorial policy aims to ensure academic integrity, uphold standards, provide a fair, equitable and transparent review process that will ensure publication of high-quality papers.
Scope and Focus - Articles from our Annual International Conferences form our major focus, however, in addition we welcome original research articles, empirical, critical reviews and thought-provoking essays that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the fields of Education, Humanities, Natural and Social Sciences. The Journal is multi-disciplinary; hence, submissions that connect these fields are also encouraged.
Peer Review Process - All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review to ensure unbiased and rigorous evaluation. Manuscripts are initially assessed by the Editorial Board to ensure relevance, originality, and compliance to submission guidelines. Once accepted for review, at least two independent experts in the relevant field will assess the manuscript for quality, significance, and clarity.
Open Access - The journal is committed to open access, making all published articles freely available to the public. This policy supports the dissemination of knowledge and ensures that research is accessible to a global audience, enhancing its impact and visibility.
Ethics and Integrity - The journal upholds the highest standards of academic integrity. Authors are expected to adhere to ethical guidelines, including avoiding plagiarism, proper citation of sources, and the accurate presentation of data in format acceptable by our guideline. All conflicts of interest must be disclosed.
Plagiarism Policy - Submissions are checked for plagiarism using standard detection tools. Any manuscript found to have significant levels of plagiarism will be rejected. Authors are encouraged to ensure originality in their work and proper attribution of all sources.
Publication Frequency - The journal is published biannually, with special issues being numbered as appropriate, on emerging topics in the fields of Humanities, Education, Natural and Social Sciences periodically released. Such special issues are serially numbered and aligned with previous major issues.
Copyright and Licensing - Upon acceptance, authors will retain copyright to their work but will grant the Journal a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute their articles. In this regard, all content is published under an open access Creative Commons license, allowing others to share and use the work with appropriate acknowledgement.
Author Responsibilities - Authors are responsible and liable for ensuring the originality and accuracy of their research works and for responding promptly to editorial queries or reviewer feedback. They must also confirm that the manuscript has not been previously published or is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Conflict of Interest - Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the objectivity of the manuscript's review or publication process.
Appeals and Complaints - In the event of a disagreement with the editorial decision, authors may appeal by submitting a detailed letter explaining the grounds for their appeal. All appeals will be carefully reviewed by the Editorial Board, and final decisions will be communicated promptly.
Retractions and Corrections - The Journal will publish corrections, retractions, or clarifications, when necessary, to maintain the integrity of the academic record. If errors or ethical issues are discovered post-publication, the Editorial Board will take appropriate corrective action.
